I just got a new PC that my brother built me and when we put the graphics card into the correct slot, connected the power to the graphics card directly, downloaded the drivers then turned it off, moved the HDMI cord from the motherboard to the graphics card, and turned it on, it didn't work. It made the first beep to indicate that it was powering on and then it beeped a couple times in a row and showed nothing on the screen. I later put the HDMI back to the motherboard, went into the bios changed the primary gfx from on board to auto, saved it then let it power off then before it powered back on switched the HDMI to the graphics card then it worked. Once I turned it off, I tried to turn it back on and it did the same thing from before so i plugged the HDMI back into the motherboard and checked the bios it had switched back to CPU gfx, every time i attempt to change it, it just goes back and doesn't work.

the motherboard is a: ROG Strix B360-G Gaming

the graphics card is a:AMD Radeon 6850
