Im going off to college and I need to choose a laptop. I would like to spend $500-$600 USD. I have found 3 front runners (Lenovo 330 and 720s and Asus Vivobook) and I could use some input. I have a gaming computer at home, but I wont be bringing it with me. I have a coupon for the 2 lenovo laptops so I can get each of them for the same price of $600.

I have the Vivobook and so far I'm very satisfied with it... except you will really want one with a SSD. Thankfully there is a M.2 slot as well as one for 2.5" SATA. So you can have a M.2 SSD for boot and the included 1TB drive for mass storage which makes it a very usable machine on the cheap. The keyboard might take some getting used to as the travel isn't the greatest. Webcam is also trash. It looks like something that came out of a cell phone from 2005. RAM is also upgradable which is very nice for a machine this thin.

Ideapad 720s 13 is good, however the Ryzen APU is causing CPU performance and battery life issues (Ryzen mobile APU isn't suitable in 13 inch laptops with limited cooling space)
