Id like to have a am3+ motherboard that is good for overclocking. Also, i want it to be able to support 5 120mm case fans. it would be nice if it was an ATX motherboard since my case is a cougar solution mid ATX tower case. i will probably never crossfire tho. this is my current build if you guys need it. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/ZanCrow/saved/3h6L

so here, i was looking at these motherboards and was wondering which would be the best budget one for me.

asus m5a97 le r2.0

gigabyte ga-970a-d3p

asrock 970 extreme 3 r2.0

i chose the gigabyte one, but i dont know if its a good overclocking mobo and if it can support 5 120mm fans. also, i often see in other places (tomshardware and videos) that people go with the two others mobos. any reasons for that? i already compared them and cant find why ppl would go with asrock one or asus one

i have a 8320...u can see it on my pcpartpicker build ;)

btw, what is bulldozer and piledrives?

whoops meant Piledriver. If you want a better overclocking board with an 8320 get a board with 99 instead of 97. They improved stability with those boards. Piledriver and Bulldozer are different architecture just like Intel has ivy and sandy. X3XX is Piledriver and X1XX is bulldozer, you have Piledriver since your processor is an 8320.

The Asus M5A97 R2.0 is a great choice for a board that supports overclocking. It has 3 case fan headers so you could get Y splitters to plug in two fans to one header.
