Low Performance In Games

So i get about 160 fps on ultra in fortnite, i change to lower settings and i still get about 160 fps my gpu is a gtx 1080 my cpu is an amd ryzen 5 1600 and all my friends say that i need a better cpu, i just don't understand what my problem is, can anyone help?

Your CPU may cause a bottleneck for your GPU. But I'm not sure about this. Someone with better knowledge will surely reply soon.

What resolution are you playing at?

 

Do you have DSR (Dynamic Super Resolution) enabled in Nvidia Control panel or GeForce Experience?
