So my router networking type is 802.11 N and it supports only 2.4Ghz. But my wifi adapter I bought says it supports either 2.4 or 5 ghz(dual band), but it can't connect to my wifi.

When I try to use my wifi adapter, it shows all the wifi around me but my pc just says "Can't connect to this network"

Do I need to buy like 2.4ghz only 802,11 N wifi adapter or can I change setting?

my wifi adapter is LINKSYS AC 600

No, it should "just work".

Can you check your WiFi settings on the router?  It might be worth changing the WPA mode if you can.  If its on Auto choose WPA2.  If that doesn't work try different encryption modes if there is the option.  CCMP (AES) is the most secure so worth trying first, although older devices might not support it.

Are you using WPS (where you press a button or insert a pin) or entering the password?  If you have the option, trying using the method you HAVEN'T.

It may even be worth changing the WiFi password so you can be 100% certain it matches what you are entering on the PC.

It is automatically set to use wpa2. And j just tried to use different encryption type as you said, it doesn't work and there is no option for CCMP

Have you tried finding any different drivers?  I have had issues with auto-installed ones before.
