Yeah, you can go to AMD such as B350 or X370, then you'd need a Ryzen 3/5/7.

i have a pc with an i5-7400 3.00GHz quad core with a MSI B360M Bazooka motherboard. should i just go with a i5 with more cores or go higher im not sure what to really look at.  I want to stream and play and anytime i try to my cpu is maxed out.

IM looking at the i5 8600 3.1GHz 6 core  would that fit my motherboard?
