New cpu cooler necessary?

Hey Im getting a new motherboard and cpu soon and was wondering if I could reuse the cpu water cooler I already have, on my new cpu. The socket size is going from 1150 to 1151 if it matters. Thanks

Yes the sockets are the same size and are coolers are interchangeable.
