System Guard Runtime Monitor Broker Service

LewisSpring

Hi all,

Microsoft introduced the System Guard Runtime Monitor Broker Service for security (I am aware it is a system process) but it uses 146MB RAM, which is ridiculous! My AV (kaspersky total) , chrome and basic startup items all need that.

It's excessive, making my RAM go up to 75%, my AV and browser not helping. Is there any fixes for this?

Google was dry and Microsoft support were nice people, but were no help.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

16GB of ram and a process which uses about 150mb fills it up?

that's not how that works...

Can you explain in detail the problem, from what I see you said that the 146mb app is using 75% of you're 16gb ram

so? if you want your OS to be lightweight on ram install a lightweight Linux distro. those don't use more than 300mb in my experience.

your ram sitting at 75% either is not an issue either. you still have 4gb left over.

sometimes i use 22 out of my 24gb, and my system is still fast and responsive if i do that.

only when you get to 100% of the ram it will start using the pagefile, and that will slow down your system.
