Deciding on a cooler

Was the installation process for Arctic 33 eSports One tricky?

Nope, it was super simple provided you install it with the motherboard outside the case. The way it mounts seems like it's not fully onto the CPU, but I can assure you the way it mounts is both simple and effective, compared to something like a Cooler Master Hyper 212.

Arctic have YouTube videos for installing the Arctic 33 eSports coolers, these take no more than four minutes to install.

Howdy people, I'm thinking about getting an i7-8700 (non k) for my future build but I'm stuck on deciding on what cooler to get. :/ The amount I will be willing to spend is around £50-60 or higher if justified. I'll be grateful for any suggestions!

Some to consider are the Cryorig H7/QLArctic 33 eSports One/Edition, and the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 3/4.

I use an Arctic 33 eSports One for my 8600K and temps are great.

for a un overclockable processor, id get a cryorig h7 or a dark rock 4

I was looking at Dark Rock 4 recently and I really liked the look of it and the reviews seem to be quite good.

I've heard it doesn't really do a great job and the temps can get a bit nasty, is it true?

It's not terrible, especially with headphones on.

You call tho.the H7 is a good choice otherwise. Why not try it out and then decide if you like it?

I wouldn't get a dark rock pro, as it is way overpowered for a 8700 non k.

That's what I was thinking and it looks way to big for my liking. I think I'll go for the Arctic 33, and it also would fit well in a white build. @seoz

Make sure to get the eSports version(s) of the Arctic 33 and now the cheap old version. The Arctic 33 eSports is a beautiful cooler than comes in a lot of colors, black and white version is the best, obviously. ;)
