Nope. I think only 80- and 90-series intel board swill work with that CPU. Like z87 or z97 (and b85 i think?)

NO! because the socket layout is different from the generations prior, especially the fifth generation and back (ie 4790).

some have been able to make the 6/7 gen work, but a lot of hoops to go through to use x270 chipset.
