After getting some opinions on parts, I have made a revised version of my planned build. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Honestly I unless you only plan to play one or two games, I would swap for a 1TB HDD drive. Sure you boot a little slower, but if you just minimize the number of programs opening when you start windows its not bad at all.

Looks okay. Just a few notes.

1.) You might want to swap out the AMD Ryzen 5 1500X for the AMD Ryzen 5 1600. They're the same price, but the 1600 is better.

2.) Motherboard choice is okay, but the MSI B350M GAMING PRO is better for the same price.

3.) Team Vulcan RAM is better for the same price. It has lower CAS latency. But still wouldn't suggest it. For Ryzen build, I would suggest G.Skill Ripjaws V Series. It's only $10 more.

4.) SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 550 Gold - Better PSU. Also has lower base price and lower price with rebates.

Seems decent; if you can afford it, I'd go for a GTX 1060 with 6 gigs, if I were you, though... :P

EDIT: Also, I'd go for the 1600, as @forregacc02 said. :D

Make sure to tag and/or quote people so they get notified... :P:D

My gear:

                                                         Ryzen 7 2700X / Gigabyte GA-X370M-Gaming 3 / R9 380 Nitro 4GB/ 16GB DDR4 2133 / 225GB OCZ Trion 100 / 3TB of hard drive storage
                                                                                                     AOC C24G1 / BenQ GW2270H(rarely overclocked to 87Hz :P )
Razer Blackwidow / Redragon Kumara / Logitech G Pro Wiress / Sennheiser HD 559

I forgot to say I’m going to add a 1TB HDD on top of that

Thanks for the help. Do you think I should just get the Ryzen 5 2600? It’s only like $20 more.

Probably not ? The performance difference is only 0-5% when both are overclocked. Plus, bios update might be needed from a B350 board to run a 2nd gen Ryzen which is a big hassle

Ok I changed everything to what you reccommended. Lastly, do you think I should downgrade to a smaller SSD, and if so, could you recommend me one? And same with my RAM. Do I need 16GB or could I go down to 8GB (and is it worth it for price)?

Looks great!

I don't think you should downgrade your SSD anymore. It's a great value for 79.99. Here are some other SSDs with the same capacity and same price.

ADATA ASU650SS-480GT-C

Team T253TD480G3C101

Team T2535T480G0C101

I don't know which is best, so I didn't comment on it hehe. You could probably make a new thread in the storage section to ask which of the 4 SSDs is best.

What about the RAM. Is it worth it/do I need 16GB of RAM or do you think I should downgrade to 8GB? Is it worth the extra money for 16GB?

You'll be fine with 8gb to be honest. Though the comparable 8gb kit costs $86. That's only $64 difference from your 16gb kit. You should stick with 16gb for the peace of mind. Games might also use more than 8gb in the future. Rise of The Tomb Raider already uses 7gb RAM ?

I would disagree, some newer games NEED 16GB of RAM or you will see major frame drops. Standard titles like COD or BF are not going to see performance issues but certain PC only titles will suffer performance loss.
