So this started happening like over half a year ago and its still fine (the laptop) but randomly these red dots start flashing and certain shades of white appear as cyan. These dots do randomly go away (sometimes if I just turn off and on my screen) and sometimes they stay for a long time.

Should I get a new pc/laptop really soon or will it hold up until around christmas (because thats when I'm gonna get a new pc)?

if that is on the screen, it wont hold up. I had a buddy who bought a acer laptop, and his had that problem till the whole thing stopped working. We thought it was a screen burnout, but opened it up and the whole gpu was blown. maybe in your case it will be a screen burnout, but that is VERY RISKY. I recommend hooking up a tv to the laptop and seeing if the dots appear there too. if so, broken gpu

ok still try the screen method

Well thats kinda a problem since "I dont have a tv"... I have one but its not set up (Because I live in a small room and I live in a hostel so setting one up will take time and it will probably go away once I have it set up)

no the software wont recognize the dots if its a gpu issue XDXDXD, the reason I recommend the other screen is because if 1 has the dots and the other doesn't, its a broken screen. If both have the dots, its the gpu having a problem displaying the screen. think of it like this. what you just told me is like trying to send your friend a picture of a broken phone screen by screenshotting. it wont see it XDXD

OOOOoooooohhhhh....... I think its a broken screen because when I play The Crew: Wild Run and my CPU overheats over 96c my laptop shuts down and after a sec my whole screen turns comepletely white even though its off... (I have to plug it out of the wall since I use it without a battery)

no that's your cpus built in safetyswitch so that if it overheats, it turns off the pc so it doesn't damage it. probably a cooling issue

No I mean when it does shut off my whole screen turns on and displays white as brightly as it can (while turned off)

And yeah my aspire cant play some games because it has some cooling issues even though I've cleaned it soooo many times lol

may be a screen issue, I recommend upgrading the cooling in that, and also go pc for your next computer. lasts longer and easier to upgrade

I dont really know how to upgrade the cooling in it as I have cleaned everything I can and I have applied a good amount of Arctic MX-4 so I've done the best I can so far
