Black screen when using gpu

Hey guys! So I'm still new to pc building and this forum.. Im just wanna ask why do I get no signal when using my gpu but I do get signal when Im using vga thru my motherboard.. I already change in the bios to prioritise the pcie and I use display driver uninstaller before I insert my gpu.. And I still get no signal out from it. I use the gpu on other motherboard and it works.. So is it the pcie slot problem or what? Im using intel i5 2500s, 750ti and msi h61m p31 (g3)..
