GPU Dead?

I have a Zotac gtx 970. The fans spin but there is no display. Is my card dead, or how can I find the issue?

My current setup is

CPU: i5-2500k

Motherboard: msi - p67a-gd65

Memory: 16 GB (2x8GB) ddr3 1600

PSU: 500w evga 80+

GPU: (issue above with the 970) I have a 950 evga sc in the system , and it works fine.

I am new to pc building , but I am really enjoying it. I just don't know a concrete way to tell if the gpu is dead (so I decided to ask here).

Try to connect your VGA/DVI or HDMI adapter into motherboard (connect it to onboard graphics card) then uninstall drivers, then plug in to your GPU again and install drivers, I had same problem and that's how I fixed it, hope I helped you.
