PC BUILD ADVICE MK.2

After taking into account advice and doing more research here is my revised gaming build, and maybe future streaming build. Please give feedback.

 

CPU: Intel i5 8600k (Planning to OC to 5ghz)

COOLER: Deepcool Captain 240EX RGB

MOTHERBOARD: Asus Prime Z370-A

RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (White)

Storage: Samsung 860 EVO 1TB

GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 1060 6GB

PSU: Corsair RMx 750 Watt

CASE: NZXT S340 Elite (White)

Don't see anything bad, good choices all around.

 

Keep in mind ryzen is always an option (if sales or stuff comes up), and intel isn't the only one with good CPUs anymore. Your build has a really good balance. Good job.

Great build man. Just some notes to help you with your options.

 

1.) You could also wait for the Deepcool Castle 240 if you want more RGB. It's going to be on sale soon.

 

2.) The Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro doesn't support Asus Aura Sync. But still works with iCUE if you're fine with it.

 

3.) You could also check the NZXT H500. It's the successor of the S340. Same price, but better, if you ask me ?

Get a smaller 500GB SSD and a 550W psu and maybe you can fit a GTX 1070 in there ? In any case you don't need a 750W psu.

 

Also just noticed you mention streaming. A Ryzen R7 cpu would be better for that.

Seasonic Focus, Antec Earthwatts Gold, Bitfenix Whisper, EVGA G2 or the RMx that you already have comes in 550W as well.

 

You can check out the psu tier list as well for other units.

The G3 is newer and has a smaller footprint, but I believe that some models have protection issues. Can't remember if it is just the 750W version though.
