Hi there I've a rather old graphics card but as my screen "isn't that new" either it worked fine on most games. Now I changed my screen and the card showed it's limits. It's stil playable but just a little more power would be nice.

Hence I tried overclocking it. I'm totally new to this so I just downloaded msi afterburner, cinebench and 3Dmark. I managed to raise my clockspeed to 860MHHz before getting artefacts. But the temperature is still stable at under 70°C. So to get higher clockspeeds without artefacts I'd have to raise the voltage right? However everytime I raise it and click apply it goes back to 1025mV. Lowering it doesn't work either. I looked up how to get an unlocked bios in case thats the problem however I couldn't find much. Now I've been trying to modify the bios myself with GPU-Z and NiBiTor but NiBiTor doesn't support this card.

Is a locked graphics card really the problem I'm having or are there some settiings in afterburner I might check out first? And if the card is locked how do I change that?

I hope somebody can help I don't wanna buy a new card for an old pc...

Have you tried changing the settings in MSi Afterburner to enable voltage control?

The image below is a bit outdated, but the the should be still valid.
