safari issue

so I noticed a really annoying bug on safari. I have a youtube tab open and this forum, and after some time on the forum with youtube playing in the background, if I switch back to youtube the page will be blank.

the video will still play, but it's invisible. even refreshing doesn't work. I have to quit the safari window and reopen it. I don't need to quit the application, just the window. 

 

I'm not running any kind of beta software I'm on macOS 10.13.6 (17G65) according to system report.
