What GPU To Get

I am building myself another PC for gaming. The previous system I had used a GTX 970. I regretfully sold that  about this time last year and have gone without a computer since. I’m looking for about that level of performance if not better. I don’t want to wait any longer than I have to. What do you guys think I should do? What do you think my best plan of action would be?

Sorry about that. I live in the United States. For the gpu, considering the current market due to crypto and other issues, my top would be about $500.

Nvidia 1080 fe for $549 at best buy or their website. They are in stock

I agree with @MANDINGO1080 fe is far more better than the 970, just for $49 more. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/geforce-gtx-1080/
