So i just got a brand new GS63 and i must say that it is a great pairing for an external GPU like the Razer core... I think. You see, when its plugged into the e-GPU everything works amazingly. Planetside 2 regularly goes above 60 fps at ultra graphics at 4k, and it barely breaks a sweat playing Elite: Dangerous at 4k ultra settings. The problem comes when i try running it without the e-GPU. Planetside 2 crashes outright due to "minimum hardware requirements" and Elite dangerous takes ten minuets to load and then gives you a gaming experience equivalent to that of a slideshow. I tried different combinations of disabling integrated graphics (which don't work at all), trying to get into the BIOS (which didn't have any GPU options) to trying to install Razer's GPU switcher (which didn't work). Does anyone else have any ideas? It shows up in device manager, so while i don't think its hardware related, the fact that task manager shows the GPU as 0% utilization and 0% everything else is a little weird. Any theories/ideas on how to fix it would be helpful!
