When my system is under heavy load, my CPU temperatures frequently shoot above 70C (I posted previously about this, apparently it's normal given ambient room temperature is >38C).  For some reason though, under heavy load, at some point HWMonitor will report CPU Temperature at 58C and it won't update for almost a minute before suddenly jumping to 71C.  All other temperatures are updating, as are voltages, powers, clock speeds, etc. however the temperature just locks in.  This behaviour is mirrored in Ryzen Master. Once it starts reporting again, it's usually between 10-15 degrees temperature difference from the last reported value.

I can only assume that my CPU Temp is not locked at exactly 58.0C as reported by Ryzen master which makes me think something is wrong with this.  It should fluctuate by at least 0.25C within a minute.  Has anyone experienced this before?  Is it possible that I've melted something?

CPU: Ryzen 1300x (stock cooler)

Motherboard: ASUS prime B350m-E

If I have to explain every detail, I won't talk to you.  If you answer a question with what can be found through 10 seconds of googling, you've contributed nothing, as I assure you I've already considered it.

What a world we would be living in if I had to post several paragraphs every time I ask a question.
