Help me pick Ram for my new Ry 1800X on ASRock Taichi X370

I want the fastest ram possible but the QVL on the ASRock website maxes out at 3466. Anybody running faster sticks on this motherboard successfully? Thanks in advance.

Usually going past 3200 is pretty hard on ryzen. Especially on ryzen 1. Ryzen 2 is a fair bit better memory stability wise.

If you bought the stuff recently, why not go for a 2700/x + x470 board?

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

Trying to save cash.  I got a used 1800X for $210, the 2700X is 50% more money for about 10% more performance.  Also scored the X370 Taichi used cheap as well. :)

So far the best bang for the buck for memory I have found is some Patriot 3400 for $185 shipped.  Its on the QVL so it should be good to go.
