8350 vs. 8320?

Hey guys just wanted to start a topic I was pondering on. What IS the difference between the 8350 and the 8320(besides stock clocks)? Is it like the 8150 and the 8120 where the 8120 and 8150 overclocked to the same frequency range at the same voltage range?

They're the same.

However the 8350 is binned higher than the 8320.

I do not think the extra $25 is worth it for a tiny little bit of Vcore difference.

I'm sure you're suppose to crank up the NB frequency, not go all sledge hammer with the Vcore... Idk, I only OCd an AMD chip once

Yeah I've heard that they don't over clock the same though like the 8320 is lower than the 8350 so if you wanted to get to that 5Ghz mark you would have to buy the 8350.

That's correct. Like Wats said, the 8350 is higher binned, which means that sample of CPU meets a higher requirement than the 8320 sample. You will always get better performance with an 8320, but you might get a bad 8350 that's barely better than an 8320 or an excellent 8320 that's pretty much an 8350. Alternatively, you can get an excellent 8350 which is why being higher binned can be useful.

If you want to get 5GHz, the 8350 is recommended as you could be a little unlucky with your 8320.

what about power-consumtion and heat, any difference between them both at 4 ghz?

The FX 8320 will probably require a bit more volts than the FX 8350 to achieve the same overclock, but that's the only difference.

And of course more volts = higher power consumption and temperatures.
