Sound card

I am planning on getting the Logitech z906 5.1 surround system with my main pc. I need help on choosing the right input to take advantage of the 5.1 capability, I also need help looking for a sound card that is right for me.

The price shouldn't matter as long as it's reasonable.

I have an MSI x299 Sli Plus motherboard.

I also have little experience with audio.

Getting 5.1 sound out from S/PDIF would need DD or DTS encoding, something likely lacked by that motherboard.

That should solve what connection method to use.
