Mr Robot

I have just started binging on Mr Robot, I'm up to series 3, do you think the idea of the hack crippling the economy is plausible? Are there failsafes in place to protect against this type of attack? I've always said that technology will be our greatest achievement but also our downfall at the same time.

 

Interested in your thoughts.
