Hi Linus

I'm from South Africa and watch all your videos and like them a lot. Lots of interesting stuff and new things to learn. A question I have is the following, do they only use water inside water cooling systems or do they sometimes use a different kind of liquid and could one for example use something like the antifreeze that they use in vehicles , it's got a nice neon color to it :-)

There's different synthetic coolants out there, but water works fine for the temperature range and load for a computer. Antifreeze is pretty volatile stuff, and you would not want it leaking from your system in any way.

Thanks for the reply , I was just wondering because water can be corrosive ect.

There are premixed coolants on the market. Or use distilled water with an additive like EK-Cryofuel or Mayhems X1.

It's galvanic corrosion you should be wary of. It occurs when you mix metals in your loop that are too far away from each other on the galvanic index. So, most custom loops have copper, nickel and brass mixed which is absolutely fine. They're close enough to each other on that index. But when you would add, for example, an aluminum radiator to a loop that already has copper blocks the radiator will corrode from the inside and start to leak eventually.
