Watercooling graphics cards

So i am looking into watercooling my current rig and i was just wondering if there was any point to buying a more expensive graphics card with a custom pcb or if i should just go with a reference design.

Thanks

Well there's a lot of cases where most of the GPU waterblocks will not fit a custom PCB, so you will be on the sure side buying a reference design, when applying the waterblock yourself!

Before buying anything, check on what water blocks are available. If you do get a "custom" solution, you may have issues getting a block that does fit.

Depends, some cards which have a non reference PCB have blocks for the card. I know EK have made a waterblock for MSI's GTX 680 Lightning Edition, the same goes for ASUS' 7970 DirectCU II cooler, EK have made a block for that.

Which GPU were you thinking of buying?
