I recently swapped in an older HD 7950. And I've been using it over the weekend on a 1080p monitor with DVI + HDMI.
It's been running fine. I've also been stress-testing it over 3 hours without a hitch, so the card seems healthy enough.

Now I wanted to use it on my 1440p 144hz monitor, and the only input is a Display Port because of the G-Sync module.
As soon as I go to plug it in, all of my monitors go black. I can unplug it and I get my other monitors back, working like they should.
Also having the 1440p monitor connected while booting, is fine, until windows boots, then the monitor shuts off again.

It doesn't seem to be a driver issue, I've been using DDU in safe-mode to get rid of old drivers, and reinstalling new, but this still happens.
As I'm writing this I realise that It might just be related to the fact that the monitor is using a g-sync module, as it's only form of connection.
Can this have anything to do with it?.....

Update:
Seems to be related to the g-sync module in some way. Cause I can connect the mini-dp port to any other display port monitor and it works fine.

Does anyone know what to do about this?

The monitor in question is an Acer XB270HU.

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?
