I was just woundering what my chances are for hdtv over usb on an intel n3060 laptop would be?

Want to get a usb dongle from ebay

I can use windows or Phoenix os(android x86) that i installed

Just woundering if it will work better on windows or Phoenix os, cause the ones for android are cheaper...  Any ideas

I think your chances are way better if you explained a little more what it is you are talking about?

I imagine it has something to do with USB HDTV receivers like these

So if I understand correct, you want to use a N3060 as platform, plugin the USB thing and use either Phoenix or windows as the OS, so you can watch televison - am I right?

I have zero experience in these things, but I do have a N3050 and can tell you they are seriously under powered, so don't expect much of it.

Would it not be way easier just buying an actual cheap TV, plug it in and kick back?

The laptop was cheaper then a smart tv or a cheap tv with a smart box and at 180 smackers it will never be out of date.  And we needed it for its' portability.  Also a hdtv dongle on ebay is only 7-20$
