So I recently finished building a PC with parts I strung together from ebay and local used sites (and also what parts I already had lying around) and I managed to  build an alright little system. The specs are an i5 3330 CPU, 8gb ddr3 1866mhz ram, an HD 7770 gpu, and an asus  P8H61-I LX R2 motherboard. Now after 2 attempts of installing windows 10 (first try ended with a boot error after 2 days) I finally have it working with a lot of my steam library already installed. The problem I've discovered is I cannot get the system to restart in any way, the system can shut down fine but if I restart the PC through windows, through the bios or even with the physical reset switch on the case the screen goes black, all the fans spin to 100% and it refuses to do anything until I cut off the power. The system powers up okay but because i cant restart/reset the PC so I cant save any changes in the bios such as ram speed changes. Frankly I'm stumped, anyone ever had this issue and or a possible fix? Thanks

That motherboard has had awfully many system stability improving BIOS versions.

So is BIOS even remotely latest?

Anyway with that old parts there could be plenty of things which are starting to wear down.

BIOS battery would be also one thing I would replace.
