No more jet engines!

I've been playing on 2x Palit 460s, and after 2.5 years of literally listening to jet engines while I play, I've come to the point where I can not tolerate it anymore. I was trying to hold out until my scheduled new build in the Fall, but alas, I cannot bear anymore suffering. I decided to give my ears a rest and purchased a MSI 660 TI PE. I figure its a good temporary card until my new build. I feel so relieved and ecstatic that I wanted to tell you all.

Awesome! Have you already got it or are you waiting on it? Should give you a nice upgrade over what you're currently having, not least in the power and heat department! :)

I know what you mean, if I don't wear my headset while gaming, the noise from my GTX 470 is like a spinal drill probe set to 11. Thankfully my headset does remove the outside noise. My neighbors aren't so lucky.

Also, I've been mostly playing Natural Selection 2 a lot, which doesn't really stress the GPU, only the CPU.

I can't even here anything in my computer because I use the Bose qc15's I know they are not the best for gaming ect. But they block out noise as I live on a busy road.

Personally my reference gtx 470 was pretty quiet once you had a 120mm fan on your side panel blowing air towards it. it was still getting hot tho, think it was like furmark 80c with fan speed at 50% with a side fan.

I eventually changed the cooler to a vf3000f tho, now its running at the lowest speed @ 55c (when at stock speeds) during furmark and its silent. (loudest thing atm is my velociraptor xD)
