Thought I wanted to share this since I haven't really seen anybody else posting it in this section(If somebody has, then sorry).

This is an article from Engadget explaining the plans and capabilities of the next generation of thunderbolt cables, who knows, perhaps we will finally see some of those external graphic cards in a few years. Anyways feel free to discuss, don't have that much knowledge regarding the subject so if anyone wants to add something feel free to do so.

I would love to see thunderbolt being more of a standard (like USB) rather than is being faster (It's quite pretty fast). Very cool tho.

Once this became a standard, it will change how we use pc.

The 4k support is interesting...

I hope that we have some 4k displays by that time.

hhmmm so the new thunderblot can play 4k, but as far as i remember display port can run 4k, so why is that so special

Thunderbolt can also be used for external GPUs among other things.

So remind me, thunderbolt can go into what other (non ThunderBolt ports)? DisplayPort? HDMI? USB? Firefire?
