Would this work?

Go to solution Solved by Glenwing,

No. Video ports on laptops are connected to the laptop's graphics chip so you can connect more screens to the laptop. Those ports do not lead to the laptop's display.

Sup guys. My monitor broke and its gonna get fixed in 2 weeks but i cant wait. I have an old laptop laying around but its to slow. So i was thinking of connecting my pc to the laptop via DVI so i can use my pc on the laptop's sreen. Is that possible? If not what else can i do?

Im askin cause i dont hav a dvi  cable layin around and i dont just wanna spend a few bucks on a cable im not gonna use.

Those are Outputs not Inputs on your laptop so no you can't do that . What i used to do was go buy something from a store to use and some stores you get a no questions asked return policy for certain periods of time ... its like a free rental . just depends on the store policy , some are up to 30 days return with all packaging etc etc .
