PC boots in windows but with no video signal

Hey there

So i recently build my pc, almost new, together.

(New Motherboard, Cpu, Watercooling)

And wimdows 10 often boots normaly.

But sometimes when i start my pc, the PC boots in Windows but gives no signal to the Monitor.

( i know that win10 boots up because the speakers give me a noise when steam has some news for me)

Or pc starts, al lights glow up and fans spin, QLED runs through all codes till AO (thats the code when my pc is normaly in windows)

But there is too no signal.

So what is happening here?

My rig:

Windows 10 on older SSD

2 HDDS

Asus MAXIMUS X FORMULA

I7 8700K

EVGA GTX 1080TI SSC

16 GB DDR4 TRIDENT Z RGB

and everything is cooled with custom hard tube cooling.

Temps on all parts are chillin cool.

After some restarts the windows recovery help tool starts and says that there is a startup problem. When it trys to fix it, it says it failed  to repair it and safes some logfile in windows. When i then just tap on "continue with win10" it sometimes continues with it.

Please hep

So it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't? Could be your lead to the monitor, Have you tried a different lead? Also try reseting the bios to its default settings.

Are you using 3 monitors? If you have anymore than 2 you will need a ACTIVE display port cable.

I bought this gpu last year brand new. But it had a strange issue a few weeks ago: it was one of those startups where i weren't sure of win10 booted. I couldnt get into win10. Only with the onboard igpu from the cpu. In win10 then, there was no driver on the nvidia gpu.. that is trange because a day before it worked fine..

So it will only boot when you use the iGPU and won't boot with the gpu?

Try taking the gpu out and firmly (not too hard ;)) putting it back in the slot, if it still doesn't work try putting the gpu in another PCI slot, it could be that one PCI slot that's broken on the Mobo itself.

Not exactly. I booted from the igpu only a few times and there it worked fine. With the gpu it failed to boot correctly in ~30% of startups

Wow... Ok have you tried using a DVI or VGA lead instead of a DP?

Also try a different gpu(if u have a spare one), if it does the same on other GPUs it must be the Mobo
