Hi guys!

So I installed windows 8 about a week ago on my new SSD. About 2 days ago when I stopped playing Battlefield 4 after some time had passed I noticed that my PC was making a little more noise than it should be. So I checked MSI Afterburner to see the temps. And then I saw that the core clock and the memory clock was all the way up. But the GPU usage and the power were normal.

The higher clock and memory speeds made my GPU hotter, that's why my PC was louder. So I checked the task manager and I saw Jetpack Joyride was running in the background. I closed the App and the clock speeds were back to normal.

The thing is, that it is still happening after playing games (usually it is happening after playing for some hours. If I play for 30 minutes it is doesn't happening) and there are no Apps this time running in the background. If I restart my PC then everything is ok. But I can't do this every time.

This was not happening with windows 7. Is it a windows 8 issue ?  Any ideas why this is happening ? Any suggestions are welcomed!

Thanks!  :D

Possible that some of your drivers are not installed, most likely chipset. Did you check your power settings first?

I will make sure to install the latest drivers from Asrocks website. What power setting do you mean ?

Sorry, I meant to reply sooner, the power settings in the control panel. If you dont see processor power management, you probably need the drivers. Let us know if everything works out fine.
