Hello I'd like a good laptop for high school , which primarily will be used for writing documents programming and browsing the web , I'd like to get this MacBook , will it be sufficient for that ?

specs

core i7 7700HQ

Radeon pro 555/560 (not sure yet)

16gb of ram

256 gb ssd (maybe more if my parents will give me a bit more money)

I'd like for my mac to get me through high school until graduation , will a MacBook pro be good enough for 3 years of programming and schoolwork?

Hi @Starlegend,

I think it would be an awesome laptop for high school, my only suggestion would be for you to try different models at the your local Apple Store. I'm "upgrading" my old MacBook Air to a newer MacBook Air for college and although it does not come with the latest processor, the form factor and the amazing battery life makes it my favorite laptop ever. :)

NeXTcube 12400 Z690M ITX 64GB SN770 6600XT Sugo16 12.5

NeXTserver 9400 H310N ITX 32GB SN350 5500XT Fara R1 12.5

NeXTstation 9900K Z390 ITX 32GB SN750 6800XT Enthoo 12.5

Yea I want a MacBook due to the fact that the OS and software is designed for the hardware and not vice versa , also are there any quirks when running bootcamp? Also buying an expensive mac that will last me for 3-4 years is a better value than a Windows one that will break after 1-2 years right ?

MacBooks air are awesome , however the pro 15 has a quad core and tb3 meaning that if I ever want to game I could get an rx580 egpu and game , however I will have to try the keyboard in an apple store to make sure I'll be able to use it properly .
