Where to plug it?

Building my first PC right now...

Is it should be connected this way or something else?

Motherboard: X470-F.

be quiet usually has excellent manuals.

Have you read it yet?

P4/P8 is the CPU connector, the other Motherboard.

It fits in only one anyway.

PSU: Be Quiet Straight Power 11 650w.

Condolences

You wasted money for something you didn't need that doesn't give you any benefit.

The 550W would have been the better choice.

The one you've circled is correct. P4/P8 is for CPU power which is what is up the top left of the motherboard near the CPU socket.
It should have an 8 pin connector going in to the PSU, that goes to a 4+4 pin connector that goes in to the motherboard side by side. The motherboard side is split but the 2 4pin plugs should click together, then you can insert it in to the 8 pin socket on the motherboard. It's split because some CPUs only require 4 pins for power.

Pretty fancy looking motherboard you have there too.

I didn't waste money...

Power supplys have highest efficiency at 50% load.

I will have GTX 1180 and Ryzen 3700x later down the road which will require 400w.

Here we go again...

No, they don't!

THey have it somewhere between 30 and 60%.

And even if, you know what you are talking about? 1,5% from 20 to 80%. And another one from 80 to 20.

Here a Test of the 750W version (Different Layout):

https://www.tweakpc.de/hardware/tests/netzteile/be_quiet_straight_power_11/s03.php

You see it peaks around 93,3.

And between 30 and 60% load its around 93%. And at 80% Load we are still talking about 92%

1. You don't know what they consume. But you shouldn't assume that the power consumption will increase dramatically.

2. Going from Ryzen 7/2700X and GTX 1080, we are talking about something like 250W, maybe 300W.

400W is with heavy overclocking - if you are able to get that far...

(Tech Specs: https://www.bequiet.com/en/powersupply/1253)

It really doesn't matter. Most of the time your system will be idling anyway and be running ~20% load.

Then shouldn't you have purchased an 800W PSU?
