So i have this Linksys EA8300 and i'm trying to set up port forwarding for a "the forest" dedicated server that i have running on my windows server 15 box. everything is set up properly on the server side but the network side i'm not too sure about because i have only ever dealt with the command line on switches/routers, everything on this router is UI based. I have already verified the Server's firewall, and the routers firewall are passing data through those ports. any suggestions? These ports are based off the default configuration:

"The available command lines parameters are:

  • -serverip <ip> // Must be set to the server ip on the local network
  • -serversteamport <port> // Set the steam server port, default is 8766
  • -servergameport <port> // Set the server game port, default is 27015
  • -serverqueryport <port> // Set the server game port, default is 27016"

Just now, Valkyrie Lenneth said:

wrong local ip of device then or use port range

so i considered using the port range, but there isn't an option to set it like 8766;27015 - 27016 unless i set 2 different ranges but i don't know if that would cause a conflict

coz it doesnt work like that

its just minimum port > maximum port   if u set 21000 to 22000 all ports between 21000 and 22000 are open
