Making a NAS

GameModeLiam

I want to use an old computer of mine as a NAS and I had a few questions. I want to hook it up straight to my computer and not over my home network, is there a way to do this. If it is possible what software would I need and would I be able to set a backup schedule for it?

Go into your Network Connections and bridge Ethernet0 and Ethernet1 then plug your NAS into the free Ethernet port. It should be able to get a DHCP address from the router through your PC.

would it be possible to do it without an ethernet port, my computer is hardwired
