HDD and Network Problems

Go to solution Solved by Tobias S.,

I fixed all the issues. The HDD problem was just because Background Updates an the Internet was because my device wasnt priorised in the fritzbox settings.

Translated with google translater because thats the text I texted to AVM and "Deutsche Glasfaser".

I try, for example to download a game on Steam but then the download and upload rate drops to 0kbit / s or vllt 150kbit / s so the download is not going forward. However, if I make a speed test at our provider (German fiber) 200/200 are so upload as download and the Respective values, I can confirm by the Task Manager. I also do these downloads with Lan, but there is the same problem with W-Lan. In addition, it should not be on the hardware of my PC because I have the same problem with the same port with an older laptop. This problem is also present on all ports that I tested (3 in total). However, this problem is only on PC's not on the phones. Another Lan cable has already been tested and sometimes it downloads a Random or Targeted Test File from a Web site, sometimes loading it to some normal fast. I hope you can help me and hope that the problems are quickly off the table.

Edit: I have some trouble with the HDD jumping to 100% and staying there even if I do nothing.

So the title says HDD and Network problems. What about the HDD part?

Concerning the network problem:

What I get from your text is this: In general everything is fine but when downloading from steam your download speed slow down to the point of not downloading at all.

Tried to change your steam download region?

  • Start Steam.
  • Go to Steam > Settings > Downloads tab.
  • Under Download region, select the region that you are in or that is closest to you.
