Well, I'm building a new PC and have some options; but what is the best one?

(I'm getting paid this weekend and already have the essentials covered; so I have money to spare for a video card)

1) Use my RX 580s in 2-Way Crossfire and spend the video card money on something else

2) Buy an ASUS 1070ti/1080 for $600 at my local MicroCenter

3) Use the RX 580s UNTIL the next generation Nvidia cards come out, which seems to be soon with Micron pumping out GDDR6

If you want a GPU now get the 1080.  1 GPU is better than 2 these days, especially crossfire.

The next gen Nvidia cards might be out next month, or next year.  No one knows for sure...

Can you mention the specifications of your current computer? That way we can give you better advice in which of the three options you've listed is better suited in your case.

Also, what are you using your PC for? Daily tasks like web browsing, writing text, checking email etc.? Or gaming, and if so which ones?

About option 3: it certainly doesn’t sound like the 11 series NVIDIA GPUs will be here in just a couple of months time.
