things for a small server

so i have an older low powered computer that ive installed ubuntu on and have set up as a file server and a minecraft server. what else should i set up on it, other than things that relate to networking since im not in controll of my home network.

You could run a folding at home program, but if it's a lower powered computer that might not be too beneficial. You could run a Discord bot or something.

Rolling something like PiHole provides some benefit.  It's really up to you.

 

If you feel ballsy you could even install a router into your VM environment like the Mikrotik CHR or pfSense or something and use that for your routing functions.

Should work as a Plex server too, great for streaming movies within your household. Or you can install an ELK stack and monitor stuff  / feed it syslogs etc..
