I rolled back already... still happening... I think I'll RMA the board, cpu and RAM. Something isn't quite right...

I have no I dea what happened. I loose the Video Input to my Monitor, the sound cuts away but the Fans and LEDS keep running as if nothing happened. This happened more than 4 times now, in a matter of 2 days... I don't know if it is the CPU, motherboard, RAM, GPU or PSU. And it scares the shit out of me, as the CPU, Motherboard and RAM ar brand new. I bought it a couple of days ago.

Specs:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700x

RAM: Gskill 3200 MHZ Trident Z

mobo: Asus x470-F

PSU: RM 550X

GPU: Gygabyte 1070 g1 gaming

I hope you guys can help me.

Do you have to restart the PC to get it back up?

It doesnt matter who wins and who loses, because in the end, the king and the pawn go into the same box.

hmm try reinstalling the graphics driver. Also try using a different port on your GPU and see if the problem persists.

So you think it's the gpu and not the cpu? As the entire system is unresponsive. It's not like the only thing not working is the video. The sound cuts out too.

Yeah. Thats the best place to start troubleshooting. its not like youre BSODing so it sounds like your gpu is just crashing or something. Is your system overclocked at all?

That's the thing. It runs completely stock. At first I thought it was the OC on the CPU, but now I am just clue less

I reinstalled Windows after I finished building the PC... So I don't think it is a software Problem... But I guess I'll try

Does your PC crash while idling?
Meaning on Youtube, Facebook and so on?

Is there anything you can do to replicate the problem?

It's not a race to the bottom.

I would run a CPU stress test for a couple of hours and see if it's stable.
Is the RAM configured correctly?

Go into bios, set the RAM to 2133Mhz and its rated timings and volts.
Turn off AMDs turbo boost (so it always stays at its max frequency).

Go into Windows and make sure you have the AMD power plan enabled (if that's still a thing, if not then use high performance)

Run stress test.

Sorry I disappeared lol. Fell asleep since I didnt sleep last night. Anyways, did this only start happening after the BIOS update?  If so, is there a way for you to Roll back the BIOS to the previous version? Im just trying to eliminate the possibility of it being a software issue before I say " Well you need an new (Insert Expensive Product HERE) " ya know?

I just saw that there is some Thermal paste in the CPU socket. I have no idea how that got there.
