Is there a CPU that allows for smooth timeline scrubbing in adobe with CinenaDNG raw 4k footage?  For those that do not know, CinemaDNG is basically 60 high res stills per second compiled in a video format.  So this 15 second clip I have is around 2.8GB in size.  We've tried with Threadripper, we just tried with quicksync, we have a 1080ti and scrubbing is nearly impossible.  Is Adobe just not equipped to handle this workload and you need another format or use DaVinci Resolve?

I hate to do this, but @LinusTech you mentioned in a video published today about converting to Cineform.  Are your workstations equipped to render CinemaDNG files at 8k for example?
