There is no such thing as a truly free website, keep that in mind.

Even if you run it off of your own pc - that will have to be on 24/7, and registration on DNS might still cost you.

Buying a cheap cloud hosting, registering domain name, and get DNS, would be the cheapest way to get completely customizable website running.

Given that you can program everything from scratch and set it all up. (If you are not able to program, there is always CMS systems to help you out)

You can Google free website host and builder and alot of places will come up(I'd name a few but I can't think off the top of my head), however they normally only give 2 weeks - 1 month free and have very limited layout choices.

You're not gonna get a good website host/builder for free, and even then you get stuck with a prefix Web address, for example ''www.abchosting.slaaatyler.com''

You can definitely build a website for free, with or without programming knowledge.

However, when it comes to publishing your website, things get a little bit more complicated... meaning that absolutely "free" does not exist. You pay by either:

- allowing some sort of advertisemens on your website; or

- simply by giving the DNS provider, the hosting service etc. real money.
