So i got a new motherboard and cpu about a month ago and i didn't wipe the HDD and a few little things weren't working right so i decided to do a sort of fresh install. I used the system reset feature in Windows 8.1, which i figured was close enough but i guess not because know sometimes on boot my North Bridge and/or South Bridge won't start with boot, my drivers randomly stop working and i have to reinstall, my computer even completely stopped when trying to open up Speedfan. First of all i need help with the while North Bridge/South Bridge thing... Could it be because of drivers? Then seconded do you think if i completely wiped my HDD and re-installed i would be okay or do you think that i have some sort of hardware problem?

 Oh and i was playing BF4 and my frame rates went from 65fps to 12fps and wouldnt go back up

It probably is a hardware thing in my opinion !

I dont think it is usual for this to happen if there is a driver issue.

FX 6300 @ 4.2 Gigahurtz 1.325V ,  ASRock 970 Extreme 4 mobo  ,  Kingston Hyperx Blu 2X4GB @1600Mhz  , Asus GTX 960 DCU ii Black OC  , Hyper 212 Evo , Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB , WD 1 TB caviar Green , Xonar DG sound card , Seasonic M12ii Evo 620W PSU , Corsair 200R case ,4 random case fans.

Hardware failure!

I would suggest you perform a clean install anyways to mitigate driver issues as new and old drivers can cause interference with each other!

could be...............but I would suggest a clean install as most of the time the old files and softwares are the ones interfering with the new ones and causing trouble!

It may mitigate your issues!

You need to do a full wipe and reinstall before anything else.
