CPU affinity in task manager

hey ltt,

 

quick question here,

does it matter what threads i select?

 

for example in my case (8700k) i have cpu 0 to 11

i want my game to use let's say 6 and let OBS use all 12.

 

but does it matter if use 0-5 for games or do i need to select specific ones?

 

idk how else to explain this

Just let everything use all the threads.

yes that will work perfectly fine, but  opening up more threads for OBS allows me to lower the preset.

this is why i want to know if it matters what cores i select.

No, I don't think it matters.

don't get me wrong tho, i know using default affinity settings work fine it's just for testing
