Installing SMA instead off annena

So question is simple, if i ripp off the antena off the router, install SMA socket and connect anthena will it work? Or just solder the antena cable with the cable that is coming out of the router, will IT work?

From a technical perspective it's just a simple circuit.

 

From what you describe nobody is going to suggest that to you since it sounds like you'd end up breaking something.

I just wanted to hear from someone that it is good from technical perspective, and yeap, i will, remove non - removable anntena. Thanks
