AutoCAD 3D trim problem

Is there a command for trimming 3d solids like the surface trim command? It's irritating because the material i am modeling is only 1/8 thick so it is basically like a surface but there's no way to trim using another 3d solid that is only 1/8 thick. Thanks to anyone with any expertise!
