RAM Frequency

Go to solution Solved by iRileyx,

should be reading as 800 to be an effective 1600, your's is running at likely 1333ish.

What speed is the other stick you have? If that sticks only 1333 then they'll both be forced to run at that, RAM will only go as fast as the slowest stick.

Wouldn't worry too much, you likely wouldnt notice the difference in most tasks between 1333 and 1600.

Plus they're still running in dual channel so that's always good.

When you use RAM sticks with different frequencies, the faster one will effectively be slowed down to the same frequency as the slower one. So if you have 1x 1600MHz and 1x 1333MHz, they'll both operate at 1333MHz.

Stop and think a second, something is more than nothing.
