I own Razer Kraken headphones from around 3 years now and have returned one pair so far due to volume control issues (as u adjust the volume one or both speaks get louder or quieter and ruins your experience using them really) and now the second pair starts the develop the same problem.

I know that the fix to that is soldering new cable, preferably without dumb volume control but I also own a pair of media-tech handsfrees/Bluetooth headphones. They were around 25-30 bucks so ain't the best around but did the job for me while driving bike for the last 2 years.  The problem is that the master one (the other needs micro usb cable to the master one to work) is so broken that ain't pleasant to use it anymore.

What I was thinking of doing is: rip the board from the headphones and solder it to the razer speakers, get new and more batteries to extend the usable time and do some wacky job to get it together.

Do you think I can pull this off without extra components?
